I heard once when I went to Mikimoto that it is bad luck to buy pearls for oneself, it is ok to buy it for a gift for someone else? Did anyone hear of this superstition?

i havent heard of the suparstition but i should asume its ok 2 buy pearls 4 sum1 else just not 4 ur own personal use!!

Oh dear I have many superstitions regarding cricket. I never watch an Indian inning (batting and bowling) from the first over itself and let pass at least 4/5 years. Also I never touch remote when Sachin is batting. It is tested whenever I change the channel, I find Sachin getting out. Also whenever Sachin cross 60/70 runs I don't bother to watch match or try to check the score. Once I sure he would have got century I start watching match.

I have heard of the same superstition, you can not buy oneself pearls as it is the meaning of tears

I have not heard of the superstition but I think it is ok to buy them for someone else.
