Well, sometimes mainstream success can cause the quality of music to go downhill, but I'm happy for my favorite bands when they make it big, they're living their dream.

I totally agree with you. But then again, I also am really happy for them because they are achieving their dreams, which is really exciting. My favorite band in the whole world, Locksley- who I know personally- is starting to get popular--Jimmy Kimmel show, Elle Magazine spread, etc. and it's starting to make me a little depressed and I'm wondering if they'll still remember their first fans when they're rich and famous. I really hope they do, because I don't want to lose some amazing friends!

You adult adult males experience too entitled, for my area. you do not personal the band, even once you've been prepared on them for ever. those stressful teeny-boppers have only as a lot a top as you to hearken to inspite of they opt to, inspite of if that's the most prevalent music of your prevalent band. And, in any case, why no longer be at liberty for the band, somewhat then hating on the little ones who've the nerve to hearken to what they want?

If you're talking about no longer being one of the few who "owns" the band then no, and I certainly don't consider a band uncool or unworthy once it becomes mainstream. I'm happy they're getting the recognition and success they deserve.

Yes, because after the radio stations get hold of them...it's a wrap. They play the songs over and over again and before you know it...that feeling you have of "this is my band" is shared with 50 million listeners.

It seems like bands start to put out worse music when they start to become popular. I think mone zapps the creative energy out of their minds

Yes, kind of.
I think people are wayyy too crabby about it when it happens. Just because they get popular it doesn't mean they're worse for it. You should be happy for them and their success.
But--it IS kind of annoying when people start talking about them and acting like they're experts and you're like "Dude, I was their fan when they came out 4 years ago."
So it's reasonable to be a little upset, but you shouldn't get all worked up about it.

Yes. As much as I love AFI I hated it when they did come out more cause all these little preppy girls that wouldn't have listened to them in the first place were all like, "OMG I love AFI! They rock!" Give me a break!

I know what you mean. It's hard to explain. Or when a song on an album that you love gets released and killed on airwaves. I hate that too.
