hypothetically, say, the chargers made an offer to mike shanahan that he couldn't refuse, and he ends up leaving denver for san diego. now, as head coach, how long do you think it will be before he gets rid of LT?

I think it would be to hard to get rid of arguably the best RB in the game. So I would say he wouldnt.

I think that if the Chargers Hired Mike Shanahan it would mean Lots of trouble for the rest of the NFL because if Shanahan were to be on the Chargers,Shanahan is a very good Coach and one of his specialties is to pick Good Runningbacks and LT is the Best RB in the NFL and Chargers are a Very good team already because they almost went to the Super Bowl last season I mean was Shottenhiemer was Great Coach and Shanahan is eqaully as good of a Coach and I think that IF he would go to Coach I think that he would possibly go and try to sign more and better players for their Defense like he did with Denver and their Defense and rest of their team. BUT Denver did Pay Shanahan and are him more $$ to stay with the Denver Broncos to continue Coaching them for longer though.

I would agree with the earlier response, in San Diego, AJ Smith the GM decides who stays and goes.

However, Shanahan is the master at 1,000 yard rushers from what most consider at the time to be "average". Since Shanahan uses a running back by committee approach Mike Turner would certainly get more carries and certainly more RBs on the rooster. However, I think it would be years before LT ever fell completely out of favor; he is just too good.

I would give him until LT needed a new contract. By then he will have grown tired of watching the same back succeed on every play, and decide that he needs to find some unheard of back like droughns or anderson and give them one good year, so that they can go to another team and disappoint fans that were counting on a repeat. The Chargers could take some money and get an unjuiced linebacker, or a decent wideout to help compliment antonio gates.

Mike Shanahan isn't even on the Chargers radar. They will probably hire Mike Singletary or Ron Rivera.

i think of Mike Shanahan would be a great in wonderful condition for the Cowboys, besides the indisputable fact that on the top of the day the December crumple falls on the gamers and not the coaches, so it would probably be the comparable with a clean coach, whilst i do no longer think of that Wade Phillips would desire to be a NFL coach, you may no longer placed him soley at fault for this, you will desire to additionally seem at your gamers and there commietment....i advise in spite of everything the instructor gets thank you to plenty credit, while the group wins he's superb while they lose he's a bum. yet people forget approximately one element, the instructor isn't on the sector...

If he tried to get rid of the best rb in the league, Chargers fans should drag him out into the street and beat him like a rented donkey. He wouldn't do it anyway. His offenses always rely on a great ground game, and right now a great ground gaem starts with two letters, LT.

By the way, I'm not a Chargers fan at all. GO CHIEFS!!!!!!

As long as Shanahan doesnt bring his dirty blocking playbook with him, theres no reason LT and Shanahan wont make a good pair.

IF he did go to SD...it would be hard to give up LT cuz while SD does have a good O-line, they are not built to do what shanahan would want them to do. plus its LT...he's much more then just your run of the mill RB
