I would question the bacteria level more than the water temperature. If the water isn't hot enough to kill the germs then the baby will be exposed to them. Numerous people use these hot tubs and don't necessarily have the best body function concerns, if you know what I mean. I know it would be fun to take him in, but I would recommend against it.

Babies can not regulate their body temperatures. Hot tubs are not a good idea for anybody under 12. A bath is better because it loses heat over time, but a hot tub stays constant and can be dangerous.
If the water is kept below 100 degrees, it is less likely to hurt a baby, but just as you would worry if he had a fever of that temperature, you don't want him in water that temperature for long. 10 to 15 minutes is the maximum. Don't take hime in if he is running a temperature or does not seem to be himself.
It is a much better idea to play with him in the pool, the water there is cooler and you won't have to watch the clock.

Babies at that age should only be in luke warm water so i would say no to a hot tub

The pool should be fine though they say wait til 6 months because there body at that age knows how to regulate temperature. I wouldnt keep the baby in the pool for too long

Hot tubs are not good for babies because they can easily be burned. Most public hot tubs also have a high concentration of chorline or other sanitizers. Public pools and hot tubs may have a higher risk for e-coli, etc. When we were in SA, several of the water parks were closed due to e-coli infections in the water. I would not take a chance.

well you should never ever put a baby in a hot tub...first of all he is still really little and even if you think the water isn't too hot you could burn his skin because he skin is very sensitive...and the pool depends you don't wont to put him in freezing cold water room temperature will be fine..just make sure you have a little swimmer on him and swimming trunks with a onsie on so he doesn't get to chilly...good luck mom

You would need to be very careful of his core temperature getting to hot. I wouldn't do it because of bacteria in a hot tub at a motel. The motel may have a rule as well because babies have uncontrolled bodily functions.
