The wrong question for the right reason. Because you'll get an answer that you can check with your reason and decide for yourself if it's true. And then ask another question that may better suit your reasons.
If you asked the right question for the wrong reason, the answer does not suffice for your reasons to asking. You wouldn't know or care for the answer.

It is my preception that there is no such thing as a bad question but there are times when to ask it. In asking the right question for the wrong reason is simply a matter of curiosity and not in the mood to receive an accurate statement so I would say the first proposal is better.

The only stupid question is the one you don't ask. Having said that, it is better to ask the right question for the wrong reason. What good is it going to do you if you ask the wrong question, irregardless of the reason? If you ask the right question, then you will find out what you need to know. The reason you ask that question is irrelevant.

"To ask the wrong question for the right reason..." -You
In the instance you ask the wrong question for the right reason, you are more easily forgiven any possible offense.
If however, you ask the right question for the wrong reason, it would be far more difficult for the 'asker' to be forgiven.
Beyond this it becomes more prickly.
I would have to base my answer upon the nature of the question and the possible implications of its answer.

Always ask the right question. It is up to the person being questioned to decide if the asker will regard the answer responsibly.

Hello mate. Let us congregate and expand. I think you know the answer and the question. Your intelligence overwhelms and big words upon big words. My insight tells me you are a very sensitive person. Please be careful. I am also very sensitive and Im learning with age that hormones chemicals and dynamic dogmas can aggravate and leave us parched. "Live below the surface. Breathe life to your world. It has been done before. Beleive in the extremities of thyself my son. And may God bless you IMMENSELY.

There cannot be a wrong Q for the right reason. If it is for the right reason, then it also is the right Q.
