I hate the term 'emo' but:
Taking Back Sunday
My Chemical Romance
Fall Out Boy
ect. ect.
Those aren't really emo bands, just the ones most people associate 'emo' with.

Boys Set Fire was not the first "emo" band. Not even close. They probably weren't even born yet when the whole "emo" scene started back in the eighties. Atreyu isn't an emo band either.
If you wanna listen to real emo, listen to the bands that started it all, like The Rites Of Spring.

just wanna set something straight: theres a difference between passionate music and a bunch of morons putting on makeup. Boy Sets Fire is a cool "Emo" band actually they were the first. very good passionate rock music. listen to "reqium" and you'll know what i mean.
