You should use rosy brown cream blush and lipstick, dark brown or black eyeliner, and black mascara. I would say skip eyeshadow unless it's a special occasion. A natural look is better for everyday. But if it IS a special occasion, I reccommend a pale sheer gold or green eyeshadow. And nails should always be a pale nude pink. It may seem boring, but it always looks better and it's what the Victoria's Secrets models are REQUIRED to wear on the runway!

Brown eyes and hair usually means you are a "autumn" type of a girl. This means you have to stick to colors you see in the autumn. Please avoid pink for lipstick and eyeshadows. Don't use black colors for eyeshadows. Use black mascara, black eyeliner (liquid) so that your eyes stand out... You can use olive green, brown tones and all golden tones for your eyes... Lipstick is the best in brown and golden tones... This WON'T make your face boring, it will make your natural beauty stand out!
For night make-up you may use gray tones for eyeshadows and also stronger dark red lipstick... Remember when you put strong eyeshadows use less lipstick or just little soft lip-gloss and via versa.
You can check my gallery for girls with brown hair / eyes and the make-ups I've done there so you get more ideas on styles...

Luckily, brown eyes/hair is a strong color combination which can take strong colors.
I offer the following suggestions with a caveat: you may want to wear different colors in different seasons and for different occasions, and your taste may be different from mine, so by all means, please experiment and be creative. You may find a number of colors and color combinations that are flattering for you.
For eyes, if you are looking for an everyday look, try a light brown (try MAC paints in Structural Brown--super-easy to apply and lasts all day), lavender (the lavender that comes with Almay eyeshadow for brown eyes is very pretty and flattering), or champagne wash (try Urban Decay in Sin) all over the lid with some brown eyeliner. For a more dramatic look, try gold all over the lid with a purple at the crease (try Clinique in Beach Plum, which has both colors), with purple or black eyeliner. Finish it off with black or navy blue mascara.
As for lipstick, you can wear pretty much any color, but I tend to go for pinks (I love MAC lip glass in Prrr) and rich shades of red (the red in Aveda lip shine in Rubisparks is really flattering). (I do tend to stay away from orange-y colors, as I find them generally unflattering.)
Now, your nail color doesn't have to match your lipstick. But if you do want them to match, I'd suggest OPI in "I'm not really a waitress," which is in a gorgeous rich shade of red, and they have both a nail polish and a matching lip color.
