She's cranky and I can't figure out what to do!
If I hold her, she cries, if I put her on the floor to try to play with her, she cries... I started to rock her a bit to see if "may be" she was tired... she fell asleep and when I put her down in her crib, SHE STARTED TO WAIL... and has been crying for about 5 minutes... I don't know what to do... I gave her something for her teeth, she ate, her diaper is clean...

Please, any suggestion would be welcome!

Check to see if she has a fever or if she's shaking her head a lot or tugging at her ears, if so than it could be an ear infection. If you check all of the normal things and nothing is wrong than you can always do what I still do with my daughter... fly around. I can't think of the best way to explain it, lay her down on the floor belly down and put your hands underneath her tummy, pick her up in that position and fly her around the house, it will relieve any gas and if she's just fussy because she's bored than it can help with that too. Good luck!

Do you have your little angel on a sleep schedule? I believe your little one is overtired. At her age she should be waking up at 7 ish and down for a first nap between 1 and 2 and then down for the night probably around 7:30. Does she sleep through the night?

I loved rocking my little one as you do and she was in the same situation. Tired and cranky. Once I got her on a more regular sleep schedule she was much happier all of the time. She now falls asleep on her own and that makes a big difference. Try a book like Good Night, Sleep Tight the sleep Lady's gentle guide to helping your child go to sleep, stay asleep, and wake up happy. (by kim west) It has been a lifesaver for me! It gives you step by step on what to do. You wont recognize your little one.

In the mean time, tough her out a bit longer but do put her down for the night a little earlier than usual. Try distracting her with things that make noise ei a wind charm or sing songs, read books, does she like to take a bath? Best of luck

That is really hard to say because I do not know your routine at home. It sounds to me, though, that since she fell asleep when you rocked her, she is indeed tired. She might even be over tired. She should be getting 12-14 hours of sleep every 24 hours at this point... is she getting that? Does she have a reasonable bed time (6-8 pm)? I wish I could help, I just dont have enough information....

Gas? She might have a tummy ache try to see if you can coax a burp out. Could also be the teeth...I always used orajel to numb it. Also sometimes they get so tired they can't go to sleep...the frustration of being tired keeps them agitated to the point they can't sleep.

Hang in there and remember she is just a baby and really can't help herself.

Probably just teething. And, since you just gave her meds in about 1/2 an hour she'll be feeling better. My son was the same age when he started teething -- and was equally grumpy. I just let him be grumpy, heck I'm even grumpy sometimes....and I just need to be left alone.

In fact, he's working on some more teeth today...and has been grumpy. I just let him be and after awhile he calms himself down and plays.

All baby's cry at times for no real reason try to stay calm and maybe try a bath before bed or massage. So long as she is healthy and you have checked every thing it could be you just have to ride it out .Try a little baby paracetamol and see if that helps.

this is the time where they have tooth pain.my advice for you is to be patient.if she is clean [as in if her diaper is not wet or she didn't **** on her diaper] she might be tied like may be she wants to sleep.just let her cry it out.don't stress ur self out if she continues take her to the hospital the next day.or even after that hour.

Colic can make them cranky

if she is kicking her legs she has belly ache

or just leave her cry she might be trying to push your buttons seeing how far she can go with you
let her cry and just walk out of the room dont come back until she has calmed down if she starts crying when you walk back into the room just walk out again dont pick her up

If she has been crying most of the time, she might be in pain (beside teething). Your best bet is to call her doctor and tell him/her over the phone.
