i call them both football, but i also call them "american football" and "soccer" depending on who i am speaking to.
i am a fan of both, and like yourself, i dont really care what people call them!

It depends where you're from. In Europe and most of the world say "Football." In the U.S., they say "Soccer."

foot ball in UK (in spanish is futbol which kind of sounds the same as foot ball but with the space after foot) soccer is just how americans call it.
