i have a volarie agp installed but the avg on the mother board wont let 3d software play well. i have imvu messengerand had to disable the agp card how can i turn off the onboard graphics to use my agp

You may need to get into the system BIOS and look for the agp/display option that ask swhich graphics option you wish to start the computer with. (in your case I take it you want it to be AGP) There may aslo be an option to disable onboard video. That would be your best bet to keep the device from conflicting with your AGP.

Disable it in device manager, which is located:
Right click my computer, select properties
Click hardware tab, then device manager.
Click your display adapter, go to properties and you will find it, or just right click your display adapter and click disable.

Check your manual, you may have to disable in BIOS
