my initial reason for buying a computer was for school, typing reports and also to search the web. this also helped me communicating with my friends.

To type and print papers for school. There were other reasons, but this was my INITIAL reason about 7 years ago.

Reading my Email, it started getting ridiculous to have to call my mom and have her read it to me. Incidentally, I have been a professional programmer since 1986, and bought my first (and so far only) computer in 2005!

In 2000 my parents bought me my first computer for school.

In 2005 my husband bought me a better computer for school and for a game we play, World of Warcraft. :)

Years ago we bought one for our two daughters to do reports etc.
Today I have my own, they are grown with their own. It has worked out fine.
