The Top 10 Teams In The NHL as of Feb. 13, 2007:
1. Buffalo Sabres
2. Nashville Predators
3. Detroit Red Wings
4. New Jersey Devils
5. Anaheim Ducks
6. San Jose Sharks
7. Dallas Stars
8. Atlanta Thrashers
9. Pittsburgh Penguins
10. Ottawa Senators.
The most likely to win is probably in that list. But you never know what can happen, so here is the other Top 10 Teams in the NHL as of Feb. 13
11. Vancouver Canucks
12. Calgary Flames
13. Minnisota Wild
14. Tampa Bay Lightning
15. Montreal Canadiens
16. Carolina Hurricanes
17. Toronto Maple Leafs
18. Edmonton Oilers
19. New York Islanders
20. New York Rangers
The Rest of the teams are out of the playoffs. If your team isn't here, then you're hoping for next season.

Preseason predictions frequently contain alot of guesswork and that's truly genuine this twelve months. each group on the best has questions (Can Washington/San Jose win interior the playoffs? Are the Wings too previous? What does Montreal do with out Halak? became the Flyers' playoff run a fluke? became the Pens' loss of one a fluke? Can Chicago win with 0.5 of their group (which contain their goalie) replaced over? What the hell is erroneous in Vancouver? If Ryan Miller racks up 80 two shutouts and there is not any Sabres there to attain a purpose, did they actually win? how lots of the 5 or 6 youthful up-and-coming communities are going to have their breakout years? etc., etc.) This twelve months is a crapshoot. there is frequently one or 2 communities you may seem at and contact the favourites. This twelve months, that record has 8 or 9 communities on it. If I had to wager, i'd say Vancouver, yet in basic terms simply by fact they're the group of those 8 or 9 that i like the main and that i'm purely conversing out of my *** like all people else.

Calgary for sure from the West. With the additions of Stuart and Conroy the Flames have stockpiled talent and experience for a long run. With Kipper in net, Iginla leading the way and the secondary scoring from Lombardi, Tanguay, Huselius and Langkow this team will gel at just the right time and squash everyone in the West. In the East...Devils will be tough in any 7 game series but you got to give Buffalo some props. Team looks good on paper but injuries are starting to catch up with them. I'll go with Calgary and Buffalo in the final with the Flames winning it at home in 6 games. Note the date of this answer because in 3 months I will be a genius.

The Calgary Flames. They added the one piece that Igilna has been beggin for. Plus, adding Tanguay, Stuart, and Primeau during the season will mean a consistent scoring threat. Their defense is considerably strong and they have the best goaltender in the Western Conference in Mikka Kippersoff.

Anaheim over New Jersey.
Almost any team that would make the playoffs is a reasonable pick.
Philadelphia is not a reasonable pick.
