Come on people- I don't ask questions to get mean spirited answers. I ask because it is interesting for those that actually have an opinion. For those that are not interested in Anime/Manga please do not be stupid about it. And no I don't like Goku I am happily engaged to a real person...sicko

'raises hand I fantasize about anime guys' (because in fantasies anything is possible ;) it's much more realistic than me and Kubo Tite <3 don't ask, just know i'm a fangirl)

My fave anime show is dun dun dun
Bleach, I got into it over the summer and I really love it. ^_^ I love the storyline and the characters. And how the first part of the series read like a shoujo XD

Favorite almost anime show
Avatar: The Last Airbender - first off the story line is SO good, it's refreshing with all the boring cartoons on t.v. so when I first saw it I squealed. 2nd the characters are phenom. I really like how Katara came into her own (used to hate her) Sokka is so funny and though he seems like an idiot occasionally (chalk that up to being a 15 year old boy) he really is a reliable and smart guy. Aang I love how he's torn between his duty and being a normal kid (+ you know he actully failed and has got a giant hole in his back) Toph - Toph is just another word for awesome really they are synomonous. Only about 5 people in the avatar fandom seem not to like toph and they obviously have been hitting the cactus juice. Azula such a wonderful manipulative witch, Gosh i love her. Zuko the obligatory fanservice boy with struggles and a daddy complex but wait before you hate him completly he has a clepto issue and went to the dark side (ie Azula) --- oops rambled alot... Oh yes the art on this show is better than alot of animes.

Fav Anime Movie -
Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle - I don't need to explain right? Miyazaki! really doesn't that just tip you off that it is too awesome.

Manga
Shounen/Seinen
Bleach --of course.
Kagetora - this series is adorable and funny (it has the cute shounen drawing style think Midori No Hibi- cute young looking girls with very curvy bodies)
Midori No Hibi - I thought this was hilarious XD
Beck - sooooooo awesome, I love this story. Go dl it if you never read it.
F.M.A. - um I like the story, can't go into it right now but someone on her likes fma so they can explain it
Naruto - first i didn't want to read this, to much hype but i did and it's really good.
Inuyasha - same reason as naruto (FMA was actually like that too)
Onegai Teacher - one of my first manga, it made me cry while I was at the bookstore ;_;
Zero No Tsukaima - (more cute shounen) this made me laugh well at least the anime did, i just dled the manga, hopefully it's just as funny

Shoujo/Josei
Fruits Basket - so adorable and Tohru is cute and the story is very good. (top 5)
MARS - first manga I feel in love with. Great love story KiraxRei is just *faints* (top 5)
Vitamin - best oneshot ever. I love the art and how she over came her struggles some parts were a bit graphic for me when i first read it though.
Deep Love - wow so good, sad not for the little kids, (first line of the story was 'So do you wanna blow***?') Takes a look at a girl's life that doesn't care about anything and then finds something to care about tries to leave what she was doing and gets pulled back in - really really good.
I.N.V.U. - first manwha i ever read ^_^
Goong - great story, top 5 romance stories, very interesting if you like shoujo read this.
Saiunkoku Mongatari - i love the idea of this story and it's set in a place sorta like ancient china
Hana Kimi - because it's great and romantic and has cross dressing (top 5)
Girl Got Game - terribly funny cross dressing story
Hana Yori Dango - another great romance story, really it's worth the hype. (4 or 5 dramas an anime and a pop group) it's that good(top 5)
Honey Mustard - such an adorable story. I can't wait til the manwha writes a new volume... and then I can wait about 2 years for it to come out from tokyopop woohoo -_-
Host Club - funny as heck XD + here's hoping for HikaruxHaruhi
KouKou Debut - so adorable perfect shoujo story
PGE (The Wallflower) - too funny though it's been dragging lately
Jun Ai Tokkou Taicho - by the same mangaka of Girl Got Game(Power!!) - I actually like this better. It's such a cute love story
Heaven!! - again same mangaka of G.G.G. I like this alot i'm hoping ___x____ will end up together stupid kami meddling
Lovely Complex - so cute, the story and art are great. and it's hilarious ^_^
Kimi Ni Todoke - it's adorable thnk PGE's Sunako is actually a really sweet shy girl that want's friends but everyone is terrified of her. - such a cute story, hope it gets scanlated soon

Well, I don't know if it counts, but I'd say that Avatar: The Last Airbender is my favorite anime. It has a deep, artistic plot with extremely fast paced and beautiful fight scenes. It's just a great show in every way, and I love it. As for manga, I'd say Naruto, because it's quite a good anime as well, albeit a little emotional...

I'm not a fan of anime or manga, but my favorite comic (western or not) is the Korean manhwa The Tarot Café by Park Sang-Sun. I love anything Park Sang-Sun does, and manhwa has always appealed to me, but Tarot Café is the best to me. I love it more than a lot of things. <3

Her art is amazing, borders on realism. She draws the most gorgeous men, and her stories are always easy to follow. A lot of manga I've read isn't very understandable, but Park's stuff--beautiful. :D

(for an example of her art IN-BOOK [not on a cover], look at my picture there!)

OK well my favorite classic Anime would have to be the "Project A-KO" movies, and its mainly because i love the characters and the humor not to mention the awesome fight scenes. As far as modern Anime goes i would have to say that I have a tie between "Full metal panic!", "Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu", "Full Metal Panic! the Second Raid", and "Tactics" as far as these titles go there are so many thing about them i love i couldn't possibly describe it.

In manga I like "Legal Drug" and anything Yaoi(boys love).

Ignore the stupid jerks that have to belittle what they don't like or understand.

Anyway, I'd say Ceres: Celestial Legend (Ayashi no Ceres) is my favorite! It's got Yu Watase's beautiful art/character design, plus her ingenious plot (though the manga is more detailed than the anime). Aya's english voice is kinda annoying at first, but like Miaka (main protagonist of Yu Watase's Fushigi Yuugi) it grows on you til any other voice would be unacceptable.

Here's wikipedia's story summary:

The story revolves around a teenage girl named Aya and her older twin brother Aki, members of the wealthy and powerful Mikage family.

On their sixteenth birthday, they are called to gather in their family home to be given a special present. The present was actually some sort of test -- which Aya failed. She is proven to be a reincarnation of a tennyō (celestial maiden), and when her hidden memory is jogged, she will transform into Ceres, the tennyo. According to the legend, if left to live, the reincarnation of Ceres will bring ruin upon the Mikage family. Aya quickly finds she is being hunted by her own family who plans to kill her. She is saved by Suzumi Aogiri, another tennyo descendant, Yūhi, a very energetic teenager and Suzumi's brother-in-law, and Tōya, a mysterious man with whom Aya soon falls in love.

Events escalate as Aya struggles to control Ceres and her brother gains the ability to manifest as the "Progenitor", the ancestor of the Mikage family who happen to have stolen Ceres' hagoromo (celestial robe) that will help her open the gate of heaven.

As Aya's allies increase, which include two tennyo like herself and the Aogiri family, and Tōya, she manages to reach a compromise with Ceres such that Ceres will not manifest herself without Aya's approval so long as Aya manages to recover Ceres' lost hagoromo.

Aya's quest to find Ceres' hagoromo wavers as she attempts to avoid her family, the advances of the Progenitor, and forces that threaten to tear her apart from Tōya, whose lost memory may be the key to finding Ceres' hagoromo.

dragon ball z, why? because the first episodes were good then the way the new sagas were developing and the gt ending is one of the best since the main character doesn't die instead goku becomes inmortal and that's cool.
