Sometimes I get bad feelings about a particular place, like a feeling of discomfort coming over me, and that I don't wanna be there.

Is this to do with ghosts or whatever, or is it like a sixth sense that's telling me that something bad happened there in the past or is going to happen?

And has this sorta thing happened to anyone else?

Yes.

Emotions are ENERGY in motion in our bodies. We are emotional (energy) beings.

Some places feel bad because something bad happened there. We may not know what happened but we feel the aftermath - the emotional energy left by the people who were there.

That happens to me. Sometimes I just feel the negative energy in the environment.

I never really thought of it as being because of ghosts or anything like that; with me I think it's more of a psychosomatic thing.

Your brain picks up cues from the environment, whether or not you are aware of it, and then the right side of your brain translates it into emotion.

Your brain may see a glimpse of anger in someone's face, and old picture that reminds it of something scary that has been encoded into your memory from a previous situation, or the room may be cold... your brain puts together this collection of input, and then it signals an unpleasent emotion.

Since the left side of your brain thinks with details and words and the right side thinks with pictures and emotions, you may not be aware of why you have that feeling.

I will say though, that this theory doesn't dismiss the fact that something bad has or may happen; just that emotions don't come from nowhere. Your brain is acting like Sherlock Holmes behind your back.

Everyone gets the 'heebie jeebies' sometimes. It's that cold wet feeling that snakes up your spine and causes the hair on the back of your neck to stand up.

Don't worry, you're not alone. That said, there is no conclusive proof as to what causes it.

I've heard high frequency sounds can cause it, creepy places that have a bad rap (cenetaries and such), or ghosts. It could be anything. Whatever the cause though, if you are not comfortable, get the heck out of there!

Sometimes it´s the amygdala, a part of your brain that links a smell, a place or a voice with a bad situation, so you feel fear or Discomfort as a protective mechanism to avoid getting hurt.

It is something of a sixth sense. Some places have energy fields incompatible with Your own. There is nothing wrong with them, they are just no good for You, and You can feel it. Read some of Carlos Castaneda`s novels about don-Juan, and You`ll learn a great deal about it.

If you feel bad in a place for whatever reasons, then your WILL will immediately start negotiating with your reason to get you out of there.

There's only God and......YOU(your ghosts and your demons)!0!
