You have hard water and should improve your treatment, this causes excess wear on your pipes and fixtures, makes it harder to clean the clothes, and could be adding too many minerals to your cooking, test the water soon. In my state they will test for free at the state's facility, check their website.

Green spots are a copper oxide coming from your copper pipes. They typically indicate that your water is too acidic and that the pipes are being eaten away by that acidity. Check with a local plumbing supplier or well equipment dealer to find out what others in the area are doing, such as a chem feeder that will put a chemical (like calcium hydroxide) into the water stream to change it to a neutral pH.

It's called copper oxide (copper rust) and is a symptom of hard water, that is, water containing a high concentration of minerals. As the minerals (microscopic rocks) flow through your pipe with the water, they erode the inside of the pipe. The loosened copper molecules then bond with an oxygen molecule (readily available in the water, or H2O) to form copper oxide witch is carried out of your faucets and deposited on the surfaces of your sinks, tubs and toilets!

I also have well water in my home but it leaves a light rose color in my bathroom. I just clean it off. My bathroom water also used to have this milky consistency, which the water people tested and said was nothing but air. I replaced my fixtures and haven't had "air" in my water since.

Have your water tested, it is very cheap and will give you peace of mind.
