Yes though one advantage being if you are convicted of capital murder under the age of 18 you can not be executed just given life imprisonment

Under 18 is Juvie, over is Adult. Adult penalties are much more severe. If the offense is really bad ( like murder ) the juvie can be tried as an adult.

Yes,Depending alot on the age of the person.But,mostly on the crime.
