Playing really well on VSE does it mean that I have skills to play on a real stock exchange?

Igor,

The VSE's are a great way to practice trading without any risk. If you practice long-term trading, it will be very similar in real life. However, day trading with penny stocks is much more volatile in real life and may not be simulated very well with a VSE.

The other BIG factor in real trading is your emotions. When you see your life savings slipping away when your stocks start dropping, panic can set it and you may make a bad trading decision. So the best way to practice for that is to use a SMALL amount of real money, say $500 or 1000.

Hope that helps!

You might want to also take a look at http://www.top10traders.com - this is a free site that lets you create a portfolio of stocks with $100,000 in "play" money. Each day the site ranks the best performing portfolios, so you can see how your picks perform compared to other investors. You can read posts on investing from the best traders, as well as share your own investing ideas. There is a charting feature, so you can see how your portfolio performs compared to the S&P 500. Also, you can create your own "group" so that you can see how you are doing compared to your friends.

Here are this month's best traders:

Maybe, but do you have the guts to risk real money?
