Heh.. Amiga. That was my second computer after my Commodore 64. I hated the swapping of floppy disks 'cause I didn't have any kind of hard drive. Adding a second floppy drive to the system sped things up a bit but still annoying. Games would come in the form of 14 floppy disks that you had to keep swapping out every 2 seconds. Ugh! Shadow of the Beast was the game that really wowed me in terms of graphics.
Snes and PS1 were both awesome systems. My Genesis didn't get much playtime after I got the Snes. I imported a first batch Japanese PS1 for an insane amount of money and really liked Toshinden and just about arcade perfect Mortal Kombat (not sure the number).

are you kidding - i still remember the spectrum !!
but the games on the amiga and atari st were so much better. I loved Rick Dangerous, Carrier Command, Tetris and Lemmings.
Still have 3 Snes machines upstairs and a ton of games that the kids drag out every now and then ( despite all having PCs) best games there were Donkey Kong Country and the very addictive Dr Mario.
The playstation is currently rigged up to the Tv in my room - where my son uses it very frequently ( as his PC sits idly in his own room !)

How I'd love a return to the gaming sensibilities of the SNES era. As a child I had unlimited time to commit to gaming but now, with work and other responsibilities I don't have the time to invest in learning the ridiculously complicated control systems of modern games. I just want to pick up and play. The only one of the current crop that I'm interested in is the Wii as it looks like quality post pub entertainment but, alas, it has so far proven impossible to get my hands on one.

AMIGA, SNES and PLAYSTATION 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Those are new fangled systems! I still have a zx spectrum from the days before cartridges, the games came on cassettes and took fifteen minutes to load (if they loaded at all) and there was no 'save' option.
