I wanted to get a wall charger for my iPod so I don't have to lug my laptop around to charge it. I don't want to pay $30 for the Apple one though. What are some decent, less expensive alternatives?

Best Buy, Circuit City, CompUSA, Target, and pretty much any store that sells iPods sells AC-USB adapters. For a straight wall charger, Griffin makes a really nice one, though I remember buying them for $20 (right now they're also $30). Sonnet currently appears to have the least expensive available at general retail, priced at $12 including the dock cable. Sakar's iConcepts line once made one that included a retractable dock cable for $20, but I can't find it anywhere now. Zip-Linq has the least expensive option in a straight AC adapter (though without a fold-up plug) or one with a fold-up AC plug that also converts for use in a car cigarette lighter.

They have them at target. If you have a gift card to target use it.
