Wow, nobody here actually wore tampons? That's amazing. Well I did. I couldn't help it. I've never worn pads before I had kids and it was just too uncomfortable. I couldn't sit, you could see the pad line through my pants, and you know how huge those pads are after you give birth because you bleed a lot. Those things go to the top of your crack and up and around almost to your belly button. Unless that was just my hospital lol. Anyway, those didn't work, and then I got the normal sized ones from the store and they just weren't strong enough. I had to change it every 20 minutes. Not to mention that sitting in your own blood is kind of gross and uncomfortable for someone who's never done it. So after a week of dealing with them, I started wearing tampons. I didn't have any problems, and I've done that after having all 3 of my kids. I'm not advising it, listen to your doctor. I'm just saying that it didn't cause any problems for me.

As long as you are more than 6 weeks post partum you can use tampons. Just make sure to change them often, I know how easy it is for moms to get destracted.
FYI you may have to use a tampon and a pad. My first period I would overflow a super tampon in less than 2 hours.

It is not recommended you use tampons until after your 6 week checkup. Your cervix can remain open and bacteria from the tampon can enter the uterus and cause an infection. There is also a risk of the tampon floating into the uterus requiring surgery to remove it.

If it is after the 6 weeks and you are not bleeding from child birth anymore then yes. As long as your 6 weeks is up and you have already been to your 6 week exam.

I wouldn't suggest it. Nothing in for 6 weeks after having the baby. If it is after your six weeks and you feel like you want to try it... I guess you could. Just depends on how you feel. Use your best judgment.

it depends how soon you have your first period. if it has been under 6 weeks since you had your child i wouldn't recommend it. but just go by how you feel down there. i started using one 4 weeks after the birth of my daughter. or call your doctor and get her opinion, she will have the best advice for you

Because I nursed my children, I didn't get a period until 18 months after the first one was born - it certainly would be okay to use one then.

honestly, that was the least of my worries after i had my daughter a year ago, i wasnt a "heavy bleeder" but i sure wasnt thinking about using tampons. My dr. then told me at my 6wk pp check up. i could continue to use them if i would like to.
