Well, I think that depends on how you're using Myspace and Facebook.

Personally, I like to use them to keep in touch with old friends that have moved away, etc.

But for people who us them to make up for a loss of real-world relationships, I think it then becomes a problem, because, just like instant messaging, one can essentially be whomever they wish to be, or falsly lead another person to believe they are actually someone else.

yup. Its a good way to keep in contact with my fellow peers i grew up with. After college life gets busy. Your focusing on your career ect. So facebook lets me see whats the status and how my buddies are. Its a cool site.

I like the sites but I don;t like how public something private can become. Something you say or do can be become public for the world to see at someone else's choice. I think some things should be kept private.
