Does it really bother you if no-one gets you a card or a prezzie on your birthday, or any other 'special occasions'?

yes it does bother me! last year I told my family and boyfriend to get me things for my new house, like carpets and furniture etc. the monetary value of what I got was huge, but I was actually really gutted that I had nothing at all to open and I cried like a girl!and I'm 26! My mum wanted to send me little parcels to unwrap and I said no don't waste money on things I wont use and when it came to it I would rather have had empty shoe boxes in wrapping paper than the promise of a chest of drawers. I'm such a brat!!

i got 6 brother's and i never get a card of them for anythin
my ex husband never got me a card
my mother get me a card at least 5 days late and my friend always seem to forget to
BUT THEY ALL WANT ONE THEM SELVES ON TIME WITH PREZZIE
i guess i just got used to it and now if 1 of my brothers birthday wasn't the same day as mine i'd probaly never notice it was my birthday

I don't care so much about the card or presents because they're usually really lame and if I want something I just get it myself but I do want people to remember, if someone forgets, particularly if its someone who I like (not some distant relative) then I get a bit pissy, especially if I remember theirs which is probably a bit sad but its the principle
