I have very long hair, a few inches above my waist. This weekend I;m going on vacation, and plan to be swimming alot. I dont like to put it in a pony tail because it always gets tangled. Most of the time I put it in a braid, but it falls out easily, and I dont like the looks as much. I want to wear it down, but I know alot of poos require you wear your hair up somehow. How can I do this without damageing it? I always bring detangle spray whenever I go swimming, to make it less hard on my hair too. But how can I keep it from tangleing in the water, and still have it out of my face? Thanks a bunch for all your answers!

Put it in a french ponytail. That's when you make something like a french braid but secure each layer with a hair band. I have to do this because I have thick, long hair. It stays in very well and doesn't tangle at all.

I usually use 4 hairband. The first holds the bangs, then 3 sections down the scalp. Then, use a couple more bands to hold the ponytail hair straigt all the way down. If necessary, you can pin the ponytail section up.

Also, when I go to the beach or am in the sun a lot, like when I go on a beach vacation, I put a leave-on conditioner on my hair. Sometimes, I just slather on the hotel hair conditioner before I put it in the french pony and leave it in all day.

You could put your hair in a bun or use a swimming hat.

I would reccommend to carry on using de-tangle spray and there is also a spray called "sun and swim" which is available from boots. It is active protection for hair exposed to sun sea and chlorine. This will also help protect your hair.

With a bun it doesnt have to be neat but still looks neat if you know what i mean. Also it keeps hair out of the way of your eyes and stop it from getting in the way as i understand that swimming hats can look unattractive if you are not swimming competitively. Heres a link for an idea

You could also try and old alice band aswell to keep hair away from eyes.

Have fun and good luck! :)

A swim cap would be my recommendation. You could braid your hair and then wrap it up into a bun. Put a couple of hairbands and bobby pins to hold it in place. This is when I would throw a swim cap on if I were you.

Put a leave in conditioner on before you braid it and get in the pool. Not only will it protect your hair from chlorine and tangles, you'll also come out with softer hair. Just make sure to wash your hair as soon as you can.

Well, I'm just going out on alib on some of theses but try theses;...

1. Shave your head
2. Wear a swim cap
3. You can Braid your hair, then braid the two braids together
4. Wrap your hair around your head and Duct Tape it down
5. Tie your hair in a couple of notes; one at the scalup, one at the tips
6. Fold it up, put rubber band around head

Use one of the fabric swim caps. They should be available in any swim shop right next to the plastic ones. The plastic ones are harder to put on, especially over that amount of hair. The fabric one will stretch more and you won't even have to put your hair in a ponytail to fit it all in. Just pile it on top of your head loosely then stretch the cap over. It also won't catch at your hair when you are taking it off. The fabric one will let water through though, so be sure to wash thoroughly after leaving the pool.

sweetie, once you swim your hair does not commonly look good. It gets moist and despite you attempt to do to it is going to vanish as quickly as you get underwater. you ought to attempt doing a ponytail, or placed some pins in it if there are locks you do unlike, yet it is approximately it. My suggestion is to enable it unfastened because of the fact whilst it dries it has a messy, particularly curly look that boys evaluate very eye-catching. have enjoyable and good success!

I use a large barrette.... I twist my hair up in the back and clip it with the barrette.

Also, I always wet my hair prior to getting into a pool, so that it will not soak up the chlorine that damages your hair.

Put it in a loose bun, then you can take it out and brush it through once you are done swimming.

it's easiest for me to swim with my hair cut short during swimming season and let it grow out again when i'm not on the team

Try something as plain and old-fashioned as a hair net.
