Besides expressing how the school feels and making a decorative touch to the school, what would a mural do for a school?

It is an excellent way to have each child feel a part in helping to create a work of art. When parents come to school, the child can point out his particular contribution. Also, cooperation is learned in this kind of project.

to show that there creative, and like you said add a decorative touch to the school also it makes parents think there kids are in a colorful unique environment

It could illustrate what makes that school distinctive from the other schools. If the students are allowed to contribute, that would even be better and fosters school pride.
