I am asking this for a young lady with whom I have no relationship with. We are just trying to figure out when things will be back to normal for her

For Michele B.
Young lady wanted to get a job which required her to go through some rigorous training. She found out she was pregnant and could not get hired. So, she decided to abort the pregnancy. We are trying to determine how long she has to wait before she would show negative on a blood pregnancy test.

The hormones from the first pregnancy will be in your body for several months and will give you a positive result even though you are not pregnant. You need to have a blood test to determine the levels present in your body. If the numbers are decreasing, you are not pregnant again. If they are increasing, then you may be. It would help to know why you want to test, then I could give more specific advise. You may contact me instead of posting again and avoid the rude comments that don't actually answer your question.
********
If they knew that she was pregnant and declined her the job, first of all, she could sue them, but legality aside, if she applied before and they know that she was pregnant, she could reapply and tell them that she miscarried (less controvercial) and when they tested her, the levels in her blood would confirm that. If they are unaware that she was pregnant, she should apply and offer no information unless they ask. When her results come back as positive for pregnancy, she could tell the miscarriage story then. If they happen to come back negative, she saves having to tell them anything. Good Luck.

You can get pregnant as soon as you ovulate, which can be 2 weeks after an abortion. I'd say about 1 month after an abortion you could take a test. You'd be better off seeing a doctor since pregnancy immediately following an abortion could have some medical implications.

I think it also depends on how far along your friend was when she got the abortion. The hormones will remain in her body for a couple of months even after the baby is aborted. Best wishes to you and your friend, she must be going through a lot right now.

WHAT? Why would you take a pregnany test after an abortion? Getting an abortion means you're NOT pregnant. That doesn't make any sense to me so I'm not going to attempt to answer, sorry.

your hormones would be back to normal very soon but you could not be pregnant again for at least two weeks ,if you are worried about the abortion not working then a week would be long enough .

You killed the baby- why would you need a pregnancy test to confirm it?
Please use protection next time and don't use abortion as a birth control method!

well since your a guy you obviously don't know what a abortion is. a abortion is where they kill the unborn fetus inside the mommys uterus. so that means there is no more baby. no need to take a pregnancy test if you went for the procedure.
