If so, then what do you think would be fair punishments for these crimes? Should there be acceptions to these laws and punishments?

YES they are far too lax, these swine should be taken off the street permanently


oh and lilred - you would not be saying that murder was worse if you were raped. Of course I would never wish that horror on anyone, all i am saying is think about what you are saying, you quite clearly dont know. its not hard at all to 'figure'' if u know what ur on about. jeez

Yes, and a bit strange to me also. I've heard of people getting longer sentences for rape than murder. Go figure that one. Putting people on death row for years and having us pay for it isn't what we need either.This is a hard question that requires some thought, but obviously with the crime rate, the present punishments aren't working.

Waaaaaaay toooooo lax... Rapists should be Raped or Castrated, Mureders should be Executed, Assaulter should be Assaulted... but, noooooo, there s an appeals process. If convicted, the punishment should fit the crime...
