Valentines day ( if you truly believe in it ) can be a special day where you can celebrate your l;ove to a person in a different way than you would normally do on any other day . Doesn't have to be something fancy or a card . Maybe just something different ..After all in my eyes it's just a day to show how much you care for somebody and doesn't have to cost anything to show it :) Make it unique from the heart and not like everybody else !

Maybe it's not the same thing, but married couples should still date, and do the same mushy stuff they did before. As for Valentines Day, celebrate it (or not) however you want. Just don't use it as an excuse not to be sweet the rest of the year. At the same time, don't say or do anything you woudn't on any other day.

i am married and we were childhood sweethearts. We have always from the age of 13 sent each other a card on V-day and we still do. We always write a funny 6 to 8 lines and each year i look forward to my funny poem.....Its always something signicant and i have a huge pile of cards now which i cherish......one year as my card came up to me in bed on the breakfast tray hubby had wrote,

you are the one i love the most
i'm sorry darlin but i burnt your toast
But now you are onto a winner
tonight i will be cooking dinner.....

.wonder what this years is..i can't wait....

Valentine's Day is about love. Don't married people love each other too? Married couple should have even more reason to celebrate. They are with the love of their life.

Valentine's Day is a day to celebrate Love. Married love is very special and should, I think be celebrated. I have been married almost 25 years, and my husband and I will be celebrating with a special evening out.

I have been married for 21 years, and I stopped buying Valentine cards for my husband a few years ago. If you love someone you don't have to send a card to show it - just be there for them. If you are comfortable with someone, you have nothing to prove.

If you and your wife/husband have sent cards to eachother over the years then it's best to continue. I know there's no spark in it now but better not let the other think that marriage means they are now taken for granted.
If you've never sent cards then don't bother - it's all over commercialised!

I don't think so. I have bought my husband a card and a toblerone but frankly its a bit silly. I suppose its just a way of joining in the fun and telling someone you love them so I see no harm in that. But going over the top is silly - thats what the anniversary is for!

I've always signed my name whenever I've sent a Valentines Day card. What's the point of sending one if the recipient doesn't know who it's from?
