I would have thought you'd have more chance if you had actually gone to hospital straight away so that there was a report of your injuries.
Not clear on why you haven't gone yet. If you don't have any injuries then you shouldn't be trying for compensation for it, as that would be fraud. You should get compensation for anything that you lost as a result of the accident - ie time you had to take off work and lost pay, or payment to rent a car while yours is being fixed. It will depend on the insurance status of the driver that did cause the accident.

The insurance provider for the driver at fault will probably only pay for the damage to the vehicle and some amount toward a rental vehicle. Given you did not require immediate medical attention, you are probably going to have a difficult time proving a reason for additional compensation. If you really think you need medical attention, get the help you need. You may just find that proving it is related to the accident is more difficult with the gap between the accident and the doctor visit. Likely you will need to obtain the services of a lawyer.

The word compensate as it applies to your situation means, "to offset an error, defect, or undesired effect". So the insurance folks should be able to handle everything materially that you deserve. Beyond that, see if you can learn a lesson in accident avoidance from this experience. And thank the Lord that you weren't hurt. Hopefully no one else was either.
