I understand what you mean. It is not that easy to meet new people outside of work. However, the best ways are to join clubs or organizations that interest you. For me, I joined a community service organization where I met a lot of great people. I liked volunteering because even if you don't meet new friends..it feels good to help others. Other suggestions are ski, hiking, book clubs, etc. Just be sure to find something you like..because the chances of you meeting new friends is a lot greater since you both share the same passion. Try joining one of the Yahoo! Groups and going to one of their events is a start or search the internet. Good luck.

Joining a club or group that participates in a hobby you enjoy. Gym, church, bowling, astronomy, etc.

take a martial arts class. i meet alot of new friends.go to a night club.those are a few places u can go.

yes, there are loads, read all of theese peoples answers, they're good. But i dont think that making friends online is the safest thing to do-wouldn't you like to see who your chatting to?

Church, the gym, dog parks (if you own a dog) bars, local college/adult education classes, by volunteering.
