I was reading an article...on Yahoo actually and it had the meaning of a bunch of flowers. It said Orchid (a belle). Can anyone elaborate on that. What is "a belle"?
Obviously I just had some Orchids mixed w/ Roses sent to someone.
Thanks

There are many types of orchids with the name "belle", so it depends on which one. Here's a link that shows images of several belle orchids. Click on the link.

A southern belle (derived from the French belle, 'beautiful') was an archetype for a young woman of the American South's antebellum upper class. She epitomized southern hospitality, cultivation of beauty and a flirtatious yet chaste demeanor. The stereotype continues to have a powerful aspirational draw for many people, and books like "We're Just Like You, Only Prettier," "The Southern Belle Primer," and "The Southern Belle Handbook" are plentiful. Other current terms in popular culture related to "Southern belles" include "Ya Ya Sisters," "GRITS (Girls Raised In The South)," "Sweet Potato Queens," and "Bulldozers disguised as powder-puffs."

To detractors, the southern belle stereotype is a symbol of repressed, "corsetted" young women nostalgic for a bygone era.

That arrangement sounds gorgeous! I'm not sure what a belle is though. Just wanted to tell you what a good selection you made.
