dnt take this the wrong way, but its kinda nice 2 know someone else is in the same boat as me. i've just split up wiv my baby's dad. he thought that when i was asking him 2 stay in one night a week wiv me was ACTUALLY a plea for him to go...idiots. ANYWAYZ! i've been feeling super down loads, evn b4 we split, i went to the docs and been told i have antental depression. exaclty the same as postantal depression...just b4 the baby's born, and unfortunatly for us it means we will most likely have very bad baby blues. sucks huh? its cuz of an imballance in our hormones in the 1st place, then added stress factors like our partners leaving and BOOM...depression. worst of it is i can't take any medication for it cuz the one thing i could have im allergic to! typical, u on the other hand prob wuldn't b allergic to it. id suggest going to the doc's. they'll send u loads of social services numbers n support groups to help u with this. it does mean that social will be sticking their noses in more than they usually do when baby's born tho. i'm lucky, my ex's parents have told me 2 stay living with them until after the baby's 3 months old so i have sum1 here 4 me all the time...ahhh...nicer than me own 'rents!
anywayz, good luck me dear, n if u want/need 2 natter, just email me k?

I think all pregnant women feel this way at some point during their pregnancy. Its no wonder really, I mean you have this amazing thing happening inside your body that you now have absolutely no control over. All our hearts and heads are telling us to do is to surround ourselves with loving people, plenty of money and security. When we dont have that then worry and depression hits. I'm 15 weeks and I have these thoughts every now and again. Before, when someone said something a little bit off to me I would just shrug it off, but now I sit and stew about it all day and get upset!!
Look forward to your scan, you will see your baby and be told everything is fine. Things will seem better soon. x

I'm really sorry for the problems you've had recently. Personally, I felt in a low way before my scans with my babies - I guess it was a bit of anxiety showing itself in case anything worrying showed up in the scans. I think you've also been through a really hard time recently, which is bound to affect the way you're feeling. Go easy on yourself and try not to worry too much, you have so many positive things in your life to look forward to! All the very best of luck to you.

your hormones are going crazy when you are pregnant. this can contribute to the ups and downs you feel. i think it is very common for a pregnant woman to be a bit on the emotional side. as far as your ex goes, you didn't really give any information such as how long you were together, how recently you split up, and details such as that. so i don't know. it could play a factor in it. if it was just recently, i'm sure that is an emotional thing to go through. my best bet is that it is most likely a combination of both.

alot of it is hormones. I split from my fiance on the day i had my 20 week scan. i felt up one minuet and sat crying the next. but you have to be strong i felt like that till my son was 4 months old. when the hormones had settled i enjoyed every second of it and still do.
There can still be a happy ending i spent 2 years on my own then got back with babys dad we now have a 8 month old too and are getting married in september.
My advice is to speak to your midwife and confide in your family and friends as much as possible. and try to enjoy your pregnancy as much as possible
GOOD LUCK

I can understand how your feeling your hormones will be playing a huge part in your major ups and downs........
You probably have not got over your ex, it takes quite a while for things like that to settle.....Just concentrate on the beautiful baby that is growing every day...........
bless ya I wish you all the luck in the world, no one needs a man when you have a wonderful baby x

With the emotional stuff you've been through, it sounds very normal. Not to mention the excess hormones flowing though you.
I bet when you see that baby on the screen....it will cheer you up like nothing else can.

I think it's just because of the baby or you could have depression, Maybe you should go to the doctor because this could be caused by stress which is also bad for the babies health so suggest you go to the doctors

You're hormones are probably going crazy right now, and could be contributing to your mood. Also, you and the father of your baby broke up, so of course you're going through a lot.
