I believe in the butterfly effect but I don't believe that you can go back and change things.

I think that there are probabilities of fact in the alternate universe theory. In 0 point field theory of quantum physics, they have witnessed very fascinating proof that exact identical particles exist at great distances with exact polar identical opposites, behaving in very peculiar ways(like cause before effect) The more we discover, the more weird it gets. If that kind of thing has been prooven all ready, I think that pretty much anything is open to speculation.
