I think men are easily embarassed by these types of things because its "not manly" to wet the bed. But the simple fact is, its not that big of a deal (you can see a dr.). I would support him and try not to make a big "scene" about it. If he feels it was some freak thing and it will probably never happen again, run with it and see if it does happen again. If he is truly worried, go to the dr. with him, find the problem, solve it and put the whole situation behind you. Its okay to let things like this go, just keep it in the back of your mind and you'll both be fine.

Your husband is in the prime age range for the onset of prostate problems, which can cause erectile dysfunction and irregular urination. He needs to go to the doctor. Is he a little (or more) out of shape? Is his diet a little concerning to you (lots of carbohydrates and fatty/fried foods)? Is he a candidate for cardio-pulmonary concerns? If he hasn't been concerned with his health until now, it's time to start taking better care of himself. The quality of life he has as a senior citizen will depend on the lifestyle and health habits he develops now. It's not too late. I definitely suggest he see a doctor. It may be nothing. However, if he fits the profile ... it's never too early to start thinking about permanent lifestyle changes.

If he had been drinking or on some type of meds that knocked him out, he may just not have woken up like he normally would have and he would have less control of his functions.

If this starts recurring on a regular or semi-regular basis, consult a doctor. If this doesn't happen again, don't worry.

If it's not a consistent problem, try to tell him not to worry. It can and does happen to others. I haven't wet the bed since I was very small, but it happened once several months ago. It hasn't happened again. Yes, it was embarrassing, but I got over it.

have him see a doctor, It could be something he was dreaming about, I'm young and I remember barely making it to the bathroom a couple times, because I dreamed I was in the bathroom. If it happens again, have him seek medical advice, with todays technology theres lots they can do nowadays. good luck, don't worry,

you wana help him, then let it go... its fine no big deal. it shouldnt be re-occuring or on-going and if it is leave it up to a doctor, dont give him i am sorry for you looks, just let it go.. he is still a man not a baby. he isnt sad because it happened, he is sad cause you obviously are sooo concerned ... move on. find some other drama to get all worked up over

Reassure him and help him feel better........no one should be embarrassed about that. He may have been in a very deep sleep and it could be nothing. I wouldn't worry about it unless it happens again. But make him feel better, it's nothing to be sad about, and don't let him know you asked about it on here!

Because of his age, it would be a good idea for him to go the Doctor and have his prostate checked.

Been There is absolutely right on this, enlarged prostate is very common and can turn urine into a frequent trickle.

Sounds like prostate trouble to me. Especially considering his age. He needs to go have his prostate checked. Nothing to be too embarrassed about. Stuff happens.
