I can not get the "dots" to be large enough to show up on the screens. The filter>pixilate>color halftone option is not what I'm looking for because the dots will not be small enough to blend the colors smoothly. Anyone with Illustrator CS or Corel 11 or Photoshop CS know how graphic designers make these screens for screen printers?

Sry can't tell you how but where I work they Adjust the "dot" size to the mesh of screen the films will be shot in. We use all the programs you listed plus others. But I do not work in the art room.

Yeah your printer will be good. I have used overhead transparencies and a cheap ink jet printer to make films for art t shirts. What you need to do is convert your art work into dot patterns using photoshop before you print. This is under bit map in image mode. There are tutorial for this. Other wise you need a separate rip program to do it and it is expensive. Good Luck
