The 1970's were a time of polyester suits for men, also lots of gold chains around the neck and the classic "disco" look. For women it was mini skirts and hooker boots and flamboyant colors and outrageous combos of prints. I would try 2nd hand stores for these types of items. Since I don't know if you are male or female, it is hard to get more specific.
