I'm 31 weeks and went into pre-term labor on Friday. I had dialated and had to stay in the hospital till this morning (Tuesday) because they just couldn't stop the contractions. I'm not due till April 16th, do you think I'll make it to that or do you think I'll go straight into labor on March 13th when they take me off my anti-contraction pills? Also, for those of you who have been put on strick bedrest, how do you handle the pain in your hips and backside. I've only been doing this for a couple days and I'm in so much pain. I'm not even allowed to lay on my back because it sends me back into contractions. I know I've got nothing to complain about...my cousin had 7 months of bedrest, I can definately handle one month, but just wanted some support and advice. Thank you

I feel ya girl! While it sounds good in theory, bedrest is a literal pain! Steal ALL the pillows and make yourself a little nest. As for boredom, and yes it will come if it hasn't already, knitting, crocheting, coloring (yes coloring) scrapbooking, stuff like that pass the time. Best of luck!

Maybe someone could help with a massage! Can you lay on your side? Since your cousin has been through the bed rest thing, maybe she has some suggestions. I feel for you! I guess I was pretty fortunate and didn't have to go through that!
Good luck! You will be considered full term at 36 wks. Try to hang in there. Congratulations!

Can you have a light massage? How about a daily warm bath? I know that helped me when I was pregnant. Don't be afraid to ask your friends and family come to come and visit you. It will make the time go faster. Even a little hand-held video game like Gameboy, would help to make the day go by faster. Maybe rent a movie and have some girlfriends over (they bring the snacks!)
Hang in there and remember how it will all be over soon and so worth it.

Make sure you keep your mind busy with things, i.e. magazines, crossword puzzles, tv, talking to friends/family, etc.

Also, if the doc allows you to, maybe you could do some stretches out of bed, to help your back.

Goodluck and congrats on the baby!
