This is interesting. I counted that there are actually thirteen states that border Canada, if you count the borders over the Great Lakes (there are two states), and the largest state.
The westernmost state is Washington. Capital city is Olympia.
The easternmost state is Maine. Capital city is Augusta.
The largest state is Alaska. Capital city is Juneau.
The smallest state is Vermont. Capital city is Montpelier.
The northernmost state is Minnesota. Capital city is St. Paul.
There are two states that border Canada through Lake Erie. Canada does own parts of four of the Great Lakes. So, these two states count. They are also the two southernmost states.
