the whole point of a razor is that its edge is sometimes only a molucule thick, the thickness of the razor does not increase proformance, its simply that a razor glides easlier over a wet surfave much better than it would over a dry surface.

It's not the razor. It's your face. Hot water softens the skin by opening pores and relaxing the connective tissue that surrounds the hair follicles.

actually when you use cold water it decreases your chances of razor burn! So, i'm not sure what you mean!
