What does the phrase "Arian & Cardiau" mean on a phone booth where you would normally see ie"Cards and Coins"?

Pretty sure that is "Coins & Cards" in Welsh.

Sounds to me like coins would be where you deposit a coin and cards would be for credit cards??

Haven't a clue, just a guess here.
