I suppose the first answer will be no, but I'm still worried...

I've only recently turned 16 and I've had 'regular' periods until now (they weren't at the exact same times but they were less than a week). My period came as normal, and then it seemed to go away for a day but then it came back for another week, and another week after that. I'm still bleeding heavily.

On top of this, I'm anemic with sickle cell trait.

Seeing a doctor isn't really an option for me, but should I be worried anyway, or just keep waiting?

Well my friend Jamie was on her period for 4 weeks in a row O.O so she went to the doctor and gave her medication!? A few days later her period got lighter and finally went away. I say you need to see a doctor about it... they will just check you to see if everything is alright!

see the dr, there are things they can do to stop that bleeding. trust me i had one once for 25 days. you might have a hormone problem, sometimes that happens when you start a method of birth control, and since you are anemic you should definately see the dr, having your period can make you even more anemic.

No you aren't dying. My friend had hers for three weeks once, and she went to the doctors.

What they did for her was put her on a large dose of birth control to keep her period regular,
