The word principles and the word politician are not compatible. Politicians do not have principles. Beliefs or even convictions maybe but not principles. Also, people of principle refrain from entering the world of politics. In Texas we have what are known as 'yellow dog' democrats. This alludes to a Texas governor who said he'd vote for a mangy old yellow dog before he'd vote for anyone who was NOT a democrat. The republicans seem to have similar feelings, and anyone who would base their vote strictly on a man's party is seriously lacking in scruples, principles and common sense.

I think you are describing it a little wrong. "Changing" your position is good when the situation changes. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results is ludicrous. And both parties have had their fair share of changing positions on lots of issues. Remember when republicans were for less government spending?

Republicans have no principles so that would have to mean Democrats. Bush flip flopped on so many things. So did McCain and the rest of the Republicans. They change positions more than they change underwear and for the same reasons.

Yes, but their position is usually the wrong one,but ,by God they believe in it! I have heard people say they admire Bush because he sticks to his convictions, no matter what. Situations change, we need the flexibility to deal with the changes, not stick with a failing policy.

Dems are not known for being principled. Unfortunately it's whichever way the wind blows, anything goes, blat what you think They want to hear at any given time. Leadership's a real problem where no platform has existed for decades.

Mark Fowley stuck to his principles of preying on male pages.
Duke Cunningham stuck to his principles of bribery.
Tom Delay stuck to his principles of money laundering.
Scooter Libby stuck to lying to a grand jury.
Rush Limbaugh stuck to his drugs.
Jack Abramoff stuck to his bribery and robbery of Indian reservation funds.
Ralph Reed, Ed Gillespie, John Rowland, Haley Barbour, and the list goes on...

Stevie Wonder can see it but the libs cant. The Dems stand for nothing and have absolutely 0 convictions. It is absolutely disgusting to hear them open their lying mouths.

They both stick to principles , their own.The only difference is that the democrat principles are bad for this country, and the republican principles built this country.

Thanks for the good laugh, man. I needed that.
Repubs do not "tough it out". What the hell are you drinking?
They ram a failed system down everyones throat until the resourses run out.
Or they cut and run like Nixon and Reagan did.
Please get you facts straight you post such stupid propaganda.
