That's good, that we can assist poor countries when natural disasters do arise. What about the homeless people in our own backyard? I got to witness hunger among people who served their country and are left out in the streets. There are others who lost their jobs. There is alot of need in the US. Let's concentrate on our people first, and then we can help other countries. God Bless!

Yes indeed and to address the issue of home grown Poverty in USA needlessly going on forever & ignored i would ask you to present/confront your congressional member with http://www.usbig.net/ They will ignor it because the ruling class wants it ignored! The ruling class considers the poor an enemy! & visa versa! I guestimate over 60 million Americans have inadequite nutrition living with insure stress.

Less than half than .1% of our budget goes to foreign aid of all kinds. Only 4% of our budget goes to domestic aid within the country. About 25% of the budget is going to the war, just FYI.

We're trying to do it all.

Americans love to feel good by sending money to charities that help starving kids in other nations but they don't want to pay taxes that would help our own starving kids. If you want to help people in our country find charities like America's Second Harvest and donate to them.

there's no reason for people here to go hungry. There are tons of programs for people who are hungry! There's WIC, there's food stamps, food assistance, missions, churches. Every church I've ever been to has a food pantry designed to feed the poor. The only reason I can see someone going hungry here is because of pride or ignorance. If people need food, it's out there.

that is conservative values.

all the poor and disadvantaged in other countries deserve our help, but if they are poor and disadvantaged in America, Conservative Ideology says they are lazy and it is their own fault.
