I am a big fan of Kitsch. It shows you have a sense of whimsy, and a sense of humor. I say go for it!

'Fashion' is a personal opinion. And I believe that Garden Gnomes add charm and character to a garden and absolutely makes the garden complete. If you want one, who cares what anyone else says about them?! I'll bet you get a lot of compliments on your garden gnome.

If you like them, why do you care if they are currently tacky or fashionable? It's your yard. At the worst you might be considered eccentric if you flaunt fashion . Fashion is here today and gone tomorrow. They are a lot more subtle than pink flamingoes. Do you really care what I or any one else thinks? Once again it's your money and your yard. Take charge honey, have it your way.

I kind of like them, so long as they are not painted. There's a grey one that sits on my porch, I have named him Murphie. and that's and i-e, not a y. Painted gnomes are tacky, but the unpainted ones are making a come back!

That is totally a matter of personal business. However, you did ask for personal opinions and mine is ...yuck. They are kind of right up there to me with pink flamingos!
