Very normal. The more and more he grows, the less space there is to wiggle and move around!

Congrats on your new baby!

Any decrease in fetal movement should be enough of a concern that you call your doctor's office!! Just because the room in your uterus gets cramped, is not a reason that your baby's movements should decrease in #! The movements will be different, but your baby should still be moving ( punches, pushes, squirms, stretches, etc.) as much as usual. I have a medical background and I have three children and it is NOT TRUE that it is NORMAL for a baby's movements to decrease the farther along you get!
Someone above mentioned kick counts, and these are a very good idea! Lie down and count the # of movements you feel in an hour. You should be feeling at least 10 in a 2 hour period of time. ( My OB said 10 per hour, but everything I have read says as least 10 in 2 hours) If you are not feeling at least 10 movements in 2 hours, please call your doctor. Some people may have a harder time feeling their baby's movements...some women may not notice them as much, but your baby's movements should not drastically change from what has been the norm for YOU. Some baby's move more, some less, but only YOU know YOUR baby's schedule and the norm for him/her. If you are not feeling movements that have been NORMAL for THIS pregnancy..call your DR. It is better to be safe than sorry.

Movement of the baby slows down after a while. I remember going to the hospital plenty of times with this worry because the baby wasnt moving as much. As long as the baby moves around 15 times a day "I think is what I was told" Then there is nothing to worry about. Count the movements and drink some orange juice with a bit of sugar in it. That usually gets the baby moving..

My doctor's office has me lay down twice a day and count either:

how long it takes to get 10 movements OR
how many movements we get in 1 hour

I have to record them and take them to each appointment. You should still be feeling him move quite a bit, but by 34 weeks it's less kicking and more rolling and twisting because he's running out of room.

Try timing his movements after you eat. That's usually when they are the most active. If you can't get 10 movements within an hour and you've tried more than three times, you need to let your doctor know.

Also, make sure you're drinking enough water. If you're dehydrated, that could also effect his movement.

The baby just has less room to move around now that it is get bigger. This is completely normal at 34 weeks.

Towards the end, he is running out of room. But you should still feel movements. You should know your babys schedule, if fsomething seems not right, call your doctor. They will do a non stress test probably.
Good Luck

It's completely normal. He can't move around as much because he doesn't have much room anymore. There is absolutely nothing to worry about unless you don't feel him move at all. Then you should call your doctor because there could be a problem. Good luck!

As long as there is movement you are OK! The space is getting cramped in there and there isn't as much room to stretch out anymore. I would still ask the doc about it to be safe. But any movement means that the baby is still growing...

They say you should have at least 10 kicks, or movements per 24 hours at your stage, if you are getting less than this then its worth being checked out.
As long as baby is moving, im sure you will be fine

It's normal. Sometimes the baby will move a lot one day and only one movemnet the next day. If s/he is moving at least once, s/he should be okay. Talk to your doctor to make sure though. Good luck.
