The processor's okay, and the fact that it has pci express allows you to get the new dx10 graphics card (8800series nvidia). And, for that price, I'd say it was a really good buy. Look on newegg.com for the graphics card.

Changes you should make... get an additional 1.5GB of memory (for a total of 2GB), get a better PSU, something in the 550W to 650W range (or more, if you want) and then of course, a decent GPU like the Radeon X1650XT or Geforce 7600GT or better.
Of course, it's barebones so you also need a hard drive, optical drives and everything else except the motherboard, processor and case.

No. It's only a barebone (missing parts) and It is using DISCONTINUED parts. The old socket 939 has been replaced with the AM2 slot. Get a system you can upgrade, not one that has been discontinued. You also want a PCI-express 16x slot on it as well. For gaming you also want 1gb memory (mimimum) and a very good video card.

No
Terrible Ram
Poor Graphics card...
And it is only a backbone system half the components are missing. You will need to get the rest.
I'm sorry but you get what you pay for...
and this is an honest answer. Mind you, you failed to say which games you want to play, but I can tell you games such as:
Vice City GTA
Sim 2
Rollercoaster Tycoon 3
Are three random games that this system would fail to meet the required needs.
If you want an amazing computing system you should be looking at this:

No, because it isn't a complete machine. That is a "barebones" system. You'll need to add your own components to make it fully working.
