It was a good movie.They didn't give anybody too much screen time.It reflected things they way they are.Leonardo DiCaprio is not the the same boy you might have seen about ten years ago.Jennifer Connelly was okay too, but I think the Djimon Hounsou did a wonderful job.He really stole the movie for me.If you're looking for a movie that it's realistic then this is your movie.It's sort of an Americanized version of Hotel Rwanda but with Diamonds involved.

Yes! Go see it---definitely. Leo has my vote for Best Actor at the Oscars this year. It was a really tough role he played. He plays a diamond smuggler who meets a slave who's family was taken captive by rebels. This slave has found a huge, rare pink diamond. Leo offers to help the man find his family in exchange for the diamond. It's very violent (the slaves very young son is brainwashed & turned into a "killing machine"), but the ending is absolutely AWESOME. (FYI: the term "Blood Diamond" comes from the way they would cut a live sheep's skin, hide diamonds inside the sheep, sew the sheep back up, and smuggle the sheep across the border to get the diamonds out of the country)

I have just watched blood diamond & thought it was 1 of the best films i have ever seen, so sad to see what is going on over there & especially the young kids who they drug & train, i didnt relise that this went on & it has really made me think i will never buy a diamond & promote this if i could ever afford one, the film was so moving and i would recommed it to anyone xxxxx.
