I never wanted Starks to be traded out of New York he deserved to finish his career with the Knicks. After he retired i thought for sure the Knicks would retire his number not because of his numbers but because of the heart he displayed whenever he took the court. In my oppinion he is one of the greatest Knicks ever... Knicks should have retired his number..what do you think?

I agree with your statement. The Knicks should retire his number. Also, because he does alot of charity work for the team and he is one of the most accessible Knicks ever. I also had a chance to meet the guy at a book signing. He is a class act all the way. Since he is one of the most remembered Knicks as well as one of the most accessible Knicks ever, yes I think the Knicks should hang up #3 for John Starks.

I think it's a bit soon to retire his number. But he's one of the greatest 6th men of all time. That's an interesting distinction, like a great pinch hitter in baseball. And everyone will always remember his dunk on Jordan and Horace Grant.
