In the recent news article, Al-Qaeda's number two was bad-mouthing President Bush, bringing up his alcoholic past, calling him a liar and a gambler, etc., and saying the Iraq war was a war of lies, etc. How far off is this rhetoric from that used by Democrats in the 2004 and 2006 elections?

Sun Spot: yes, I did read the whole article, and was rather perturbed at that statement. I feel that the Dems could actually do something to change the course of events in Iraq.

the difference is that al-qaeda is attacking bush's past based on their prejudice and hatred for vices.

we are questioning rather we want a leader with that kind of past- due to his competience and to how we, as a nation, are recieved.
Also sometimes it is biting game- people attack obama, we remind them about bush.

I don't know what lies they have found fro iraq- maybe the lie that they were there.

I know that us dems/libs are mad that we found no WMDs and no substancial link to Al-queda- you know the reasons why we approved this war

Could it be that Al-Qaeda's complaining about Bush in order to trash-talk his enemies, while the Democrats are complaining about Bush in order to change and improve our country?

Democrats are Americans. In America we fire failures like GW Bush. That is called "the majority rules". Did you sleep all the way in the last elections ? We won in November.

The truth is the truth no matter who states it. I'm sure that Al-Queda types also say 1+1=2 . Does that make them the same as US math teachers???

The REAL question is: "is there a difference between Dems and Al-Quaeda?". Not sure if there is one. They seem to have the same goals and values. Maybe they are really the same people.
