I have been on oral birth control before and the patch before, always in junction with condoms,Im looking to go back to the pill, but have a question.Im curious what my chances REALLY are of gettting pregenet when on the pill, and taken properly, but not using condoms...At this time we(my fiance and I) are not nessaceraly wanting a baby right now,but if pregnancy did occur it would be fine.
My fiance and I use condoms, the pull out method and the rythem method in junction with each other.I have only had one pregenecy "scare" if you can call it that, and later found out my late period was from recent stress. What do you think of taking the pill and not useing condoms.

It sounds like your in a committed relationship, so if you are not worried about STD's than I would say go for it, if used correctly than the pill is around 96%, which means taking them at the dame time everyday and all that. But it also sounds like if you did get pregnant than it wouldn't be HORRIBLE, so have fun, only if your sure your safe.

That's really a decision that you and your partner need to make. Personally, I'm 21 and I've been on the pill for 3 years and my husband and I have been just fine, we never use condoms we both can't stand them. Any time you have sex you risk getting pregnant, that's just the way it is. It's something that you have to decide together. If you can remember to take your pills the way you're supposed to, that should be enough...but of course there are those "accidents". Like I said, anytime you have sex whether it's protected or not there is a risk of pregnancy.

Talk to your obgyn. The pill is supposed to be 99.9 perc. effective and since your in a commited relationship you dont have to worry about STD's
I would think your ok not using a condom as long as you continue with the rythym/pull out methods.

it sounds ok you obviously know about the STI's and taking the pill should be fine.
What are the reasons that you don't want to wear condoms?
Also the pulling out method doesn't work it's just a myth.

The pill is over 99% proof that you will not get pregnant. If taken properly, you can almost guarantee that you will not get preganant. And as long as you are both monogamous... no need for condom!

My pill packet says that the failure rate of the pills when taken correctly everyday never missing any is 1%. And less than 5% failure rate when including women who miss pills

If you take the pill correctly and use no condoms, you have very little chance of becoming pregnant.

NOTHING IS GUARANTEED! THE MAIN THING IS THAT IF YOU DID GET PREGNANT, YOU WOULD NOT FREAK OUT AND HAVE AN ABORTION AND KILL AN INNOCENT HUMAN! YOU TAKE YOUR CHANCES NO MATTER WHAT METHOD YOU USE! there are risks for a few minutes of sexual pleasure! if you have consenual sex, and you get pregnant, then in my opinion, you should be legally bound to have baby! if you abort it, then you face prison time for 20-life for murder! abortion is murder! unless the woman has been raped or her life is in danger!
