The Mavs bench is vastly superior to the suns.

How are the suns the favorites when they have lost to the mavs twice already? Just curious about a team that just lost at home to Atlanta. I know Nash was out but they still should have beat them.

Wheeljack- Did you just drop KURT THOMAS and marcus banks as quality bench players? By the way, Diop and Buckner aren't on the team to score but for DEFENSE. Ever heard of it? Everything you said was strictly offensive minded which is not unlike the Suns.

To all of you out there who said the Mavs blew the finals. At least they were in the finals unlike the suns who got beat by the Mavs to get to the finals. The Mavs are better because there is more to basketball than offense. The Mavs bench is better because we can bring in players to score or for defense. Our bench has quality players so our starters are getting enough rest. Which means coming into the home stretch we won't be tired and worn out. Also less chance of getting hurt if you are better rested. Let us check the record so far this year. Ah yes, the Mavericks are currently on top of the NBA with the best record. Suns are falling behind even as we speak.

Hey Turner you might want to do some research the Mavs Have lost to the MEMPHIS GRIZZLIES, a far worse team than the Hawks. Yes the suns struggle without nash, but the Mavericks would struggle with out Dirk you idiot. The NBA season is very long you don't get a ring for winning 42 games before the all star break ask Detroit how that worked for them last year. Yes Dallas has a very good bench but so do the Suns. Isn't Leandro a candidate for the 6th man of the year. And Kurt Thomas does the Same thing Diop Does he keeps Amare out of Foul Trouble and has a good fifteen to twenty footer. The Suns have three guys that come off there bench and score in D
ouble figures. Leandro James Jones, and Kurt Thomas. Banks is shaky at times but he had 20 off the bench against Atlanta.

Who is on this so called deep Mavericks bench. The Suns have Barbosa, Diaw, Kurt Thomas, and Marcus Banks coming off the bench and the Mavs have who? Diop and Buckner bring no points to the table. Jerry Stackhouse is good but Devon Harris cant make a jump shot to save his life.

Losing to Hawks was bad but hey it happens. No team goes 0-82 no matter how bad they are and they will upset a team over the course of 82 games. The Mavs showed that they just don't have it by blowing a 2-0 lead in the finals of last year and losing 4 straight.

The Mavs beat the Suns early when they were struggling but not since they have put together those two long winning streaks. If the team stays healthy, the Suns have to be a favorite. The Mavs had their chance and blew it. No one cares if someone makes to the finals. They only care about the winners not the runners up to Ms. Janice H. You get recognized for winning it all, not blowing a 2-0 lead nd losing the series.

The Phoenix Suns aren't overrated, the media is just entranced by their unique style of play.

The Suns have a pretty decent bench, with a guy who could start almost anywhere else in Leandro Barbosa. The Mavs have a deeper bench, but the Suns are more conditioned. If Nash gets healthy and stays healthy, the Suns are the favorites to win.

I understand that the suns do have an offal bench. withouth nash, they have leandro barbosa, who don't get me wrong is a good player, coming in with more of a scoring mentality. with nash healthy, it's nice to get that off the bench but; i don't think that he's expected to play as well as nash, but he needs to take command of the offense more than what he has while he is out. I watched them play the bulls on sunday, and they looked desperate. everyone who normally are "great players" for them, were that much worse. nash makes them so much better. they couldn't rely on their bench.
